The History of the Area
A Special Location
We are the 3rd generation of our family to own Edenlot. Until 2007 the property was our second, or ‘holiday’, home, and we spent the majority of the school holidays here. Living near Paris, this was our little piece of paradise, which we left with great sadness at the end of the August holidays to head back to school.
In 2007, after restoring the barn, we came back to live at Edenlot permanently, and our former holiday home became somewhere we could live and welcome friends. Today, after 2 years of renovation works, our philosophy is to welcome our guests like invited friends.

The Magic and Authenticity of The Lot,
A Surprise Round Every Corner!
Make the most of your holiday, whether relaxing or discovering the many sites within easy reach of the town of Figeac, which is recognised nationally as a “Town of Art and History” (Ville d’Art et Histoire). Situated in the east of the Lot department, Figeac’s character is drawn from the stunning valleys of the Lot and Célé rivers. Close to many visitor attractions such as Cahors, Conques and Rocamadour, it is also surrounded by beautiful villages including Cajarc, Faycells, Capdenac-Le-Haut. The region’s countryside varies from the limestone escarpments and plains of the Causse de Quercy, and the foothills of the Massif Central. Hiking on foot or by bicycle, the nature and character of the ‘Grand Figeac’ is fully revealed. It is a country of celebrated produce and fine cuisine: truffles, fois-gras, lamb, the Quercy melon. Many renowned festivals are held each year, including the ‘Festival of Theatre’, ‘Rencontres Musicales’, and Africajarc.

“Welcoming, kind and caring hosts. Always a great help. The house is more than charming, pretty and functional. Ideal conditions for a great stay. We cannot recommend this place and its owners highly enough.“ Geneviève and Nathan (Paris)
“We had a lovely stay in the very pretty gîte of Marianne and Olivier, who gave us a warm welcome. The house, typical of the Lot, has been tastefully renovated. In the hot weather, the swimming pool was a real bonus, especially since the view is breathtaking. A rejuvenating place that we recommend without hesitation.” Laura and Thomas (Rueil)
“Fantastic owners and a property full of character, tastefully renovated and everything is well thought out. A brilliant human adventure because Marianne and Olivier are adorable people. We recommend 200%.” Aurélie and Eric (Tours)
